Need advice on how to feel
Hi,
I was talking with my female friend whose daughter is in town for the month and I said hey let’s go to Disney the three of us. She asked her husband and he got mad and said she can’t go to Disney without him.
So then she booked a trip just her and her daughter to Maine and said sorry you and I will go some other time somewhere.
When I asked her why she did that she said I didn’t put any other ideas out there. I started to cry and told her I was really upset but then got over it.
But actually I’m really hurt. Is this just something people do or should I be hurt? Am I too sensitive?
I also just moved across the country to be closer to her and my family - both haven’t been paying me much attention but I not blame them as they all have busy lives and I right now have nothing. No job no man.
No other friends around.
Would love to hear someone else’s thoughts
Thanks for litenonfy

I can't give you what you ask for: "advice on how to feel". I don't believe that we have control over our feelings. I don't believe we can chose how to feel. So advice on what to feel is meaningless. Feelings are biological processes that just "are". So, whatever you felt is totally valid.
Maybe a better question is why don't you trust yourself and believe in your feelings?
And I wonder if your question is actually "what did I do wrong?" Or, why does no one want to spend time with me?
These are hard, painful questions to sit with. Ruminating over the past is often hard and painful. Do you spend a lot of time thinking about the past and justifying past actions? Who are you justifying them too?
The present moment is so short. Let's try not to miss it, by being constantly in the past.
