New and looking for advice.

Hello everyone!

This is my fourth sub community I have joined now. I think this would be best to help with certain advice which I will get into in this message. In the meantime let me talk about myself.

I am 17 years old. You guys can call me Heaven. I like playing video games, colouring, drawing, coding, writing and so on. I am apart of the LGBTQ community and I am a furry and therian also. I have quite a bit of mental issues which includes being diagnosed with PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADD and even having some possible mental issues which were not diagnosed. I hope to fit in well.

Advice:

I have suffered with things like insomnia for 9 years and longer now. Before I could sleep through but recently about 2 years ago ever since I moved in with my dad I have not been sleeping through. I wake up multiple times in the middle of the night, I struggle to fall asleep and I struggle to stay asleep. I wake up to small sounds also. I wake up tired and basically constantly feel tired. I have recently become tired of this and decided to try and work towards getting better sleep. I don't feel safe in my house so I am trying to figure out ways to make my room feel safe. Any advice would be appreciated! ❤️

I also have had neck issues for about 2 years now due to anxiety.

Hi Heaven!

Glad you are here! Having insomnia for that time can be hard to manage and feeling constantly tired can definitely take a toll. I think its great thar you are wanting to work toward getting better sleep. You mentioned not feeling safe in your house, in what ways are you feeling unsafe? Are there some things that can help you feel safe or maybe some things from your old home that give you a sense of safety?

In this house I constantly feel like I'm either gonna get get hit, yelled at or worse. So I constantly feel like I have to walk on egg shells. Unfortunately nothing from my old home gave me safety either because that house also had its own set of issues.

I see, in that case, if you are ever hit or worse please please seek support! You deserve to be in a home where you are safe and not getting hit or worse♥️ is there anything that you are doing maybe on your own to help with how you are feeling while you are there. Some people in situations like these try to make contact with the individual as minimal as possible to avoid conflicts. Maybe it can help to lean into things that make you happy/ friends or other family members that help or understand.

I have just been trying to help myself in my own ways little by little like making my environment feel safe, working out, and so on. Don't stress if anything like that happens I will seek out help.

That's great that you are doing that! Making your environment safe, doing things you enjoy and some things to help take your mind off of that unsafe feeling. Have you thought about any new additions or maybe some things you plan to do today? Glad to hear that you will get help if you need 💞

I have but I know my parents won't support me in it so I can't.
