Panic Atracks 2-3 times a week
So been having panick attacks for the first time in 20 years. I reached out to a therapist at my work. I am an auto adjuster so the stress is insane. On top of that I am moving in 3 months. Only been with this company since December. We are moving across the country away from family and everyone. My wife and I want to start over and have our own life. The pressure has been insane. Last night I had a panic attack to where I thought I was having a heart attack. Then today at work I had a panic attack.
Take into account I started chewing zyne pouches. I also take adderrall
Just needed to get it off my chest that it is kinda nice to see this thread don’t feel so alone. The therapist also informed me I need to get on anxiety meds until we get moved and get the business I want started. (Probably 6 months away) lately I won’t lie I have been scared, scared I will go back to how I was in my 20s (angry, quiet.. me against the world) I am 38 and took many years to try and become a better person now instead of anger I just cry which is embarrassing. Life is so weird, I think a lot has to do with the feeling I need to become something. My father has been very very successful, my brother was very athletic and I was the dude born with a hand deformity. Who literally just likes to make people laugh so it takes away from me.
Alright that’s it for now haha!
Hiya,
Have you spoke with your wife about your concerns? Are you concerned about being on the medication?
I'm just trying to gain a better insight of what you are feeling.
Yeah I have probably over talked with my wife about it. Lol! The other night I had a literal melt down. I was crying so hard I couldn’t breathe. I hadn’t cried like that really ever. She was there for me. But the hard thing is there is nothing she can do. Which then I feel bad that I break down or continue to talk to her about my fears and stuff.
I have mentioned to her I hate that I chew, the adderrall is not bad it keep me focus. Makes time fly haha! But really she has been really strong on hearing me. I just know doing that to her is not fair. Hints the reason I started seeing a therapist (it’s free through my work.. go figurel
It really sounds like you have a wonderful wife who is in your corner, it makes a huge difference when you have that support.
I totally understand feeling like you're overtaking your wife about the stuff you're feeling.
I vape, and hate that I do as you do. I feel it's become almost like a security blanket for me - I find myself hitting my vape in more stressful situations and when my anxiety is out of control.
Are you concerned that if all that you are juggling right now, if one thing falls through, that you'll be criticized by your father or brother - based on you saying that they have been successful with their endeavors?
