Pathological lying
Hello. I’m new here. I am a liar to my core, I don’t know why but I feel the need to lie about everything. About how bad my parents are. About being r!pd about having a drug addiction. I lie to make people feel bad for me and I feel terrible about it but now I’m too far into the lies to take them back. WAHT do I do. I think it’s a form of anxiety that if I don’t have a bunch of trauma they won’t love me but even if I tell myself that’s not true I keep lying so I don’t know
@carefulPeach8329I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this. It's important to remember that honesty is a crucial part of building trust in any relationship, and it's never too late to start being truthful with the people around you. You don't have to fake trauma to be loved or cared for. Reach out to a mental health professional who can help you address the underlying anxieties causing these behaviors. You're not alone, and there's support available to help you work through this.💗

It is a pattern some climb into for the attention or pity ........others feel for them the worse the story the more you are given attention.
This IMO is not the attention you want ...but it is the fast.
In case you have not figured this out ... many who make up stories often do not always keep them straight and people around you most likely if they caught something that did not add up know at least some of your stories are BS. compared notes with others and you stories start to unravel.
They might not let on but they fake sympathy and concern and no longer trust you or believe you if you had a real crisis. Yes coming clean and telling truth would suck especially since you made up big lies but in the end is fake concern really helping your hunger for someone to give a darn about you.
Had a few in my life do this sort of thing people ended up avoiding them or talking behind their back about the lies.
