Sleepless in Kansas

I've been struggling with falling asleep & staying asleep for several weeks. I'll sleep a couple of hours then awake for 20-22 hours. I'm doing a nightly routine that includes lavender oil in a diffuser, lavender pillow spray, soft music, no words, & starting 2 days ago, no phone for an hour b4 bed. Still... I can't seem to relax my mind enough to sleep. My body relaxes beautifully, but my thoughts keep me awake or wake me up. It's frustrating & I don't know what to do. I've tried box breathing & it helps for a little while, but then my mind is thinking about things I need to do, want to do, might do, & have done. I'm a "human-doing" not a "human-bean"! (Play on words) Any ideas for this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

@purpleVase363

I'm so sorry.

That sounds frustrating.

I also use lavender spray, complete darkness.

Listening to music.

Clutter free room.

No electronics.

Routine.

I wound visit a doctor to also rule out any underlying conditions 💕💕

I can tell you what definitely not to do. Don’t drink alcohol, especially if you live alone, just to fall asleep. Trust me.

Hi purplevase. Sorry you're dealing with this. I wish I had a perfect answer for you. Trust me I know it all too well. Things that work for me: an eye mask with Bluetooth speakers built in. Love listening to Calm on there. Audio sites with spoken words are great. Check out GetSleepy. Good site to listen to stories that put you to sleep. Good luck

I'm grateful to report last night I took eddio's suggestion & tried the Get Sleepy podcast. It was the 1st night I've slept ALL NIGHT for several weeks! PTL! I have hope! Thank you so much for all the suggestions & support.
