Sorry this is going to be a bit lengthy. I have always struggled with panic attacks from since I was 7. Im almost 15 now and from the past 4 months I have this huge fear of death, and changes in life. It started when I was cuddling with my cat, and I started to spiral which led into a huge panic attack which went on for ages. It stopped for a while and lately it has come back. It surrounds about not wanting to grow up, when my parents will die, coping with life changes. I’m super stressed out and can’t sleep, it stops me from eating and I become sick. I’m worried that if I don’t do something soon, life will be too much to manage and I’ll crack. What should I do?

@Katsuyaa111

Please take a very deep breath, in, and out!! A few times.

I only say this because what you are asking is something every mortal being has questioned. We all are on this earth for an unspecified time. We see the magic in how the planet is alive and how our universe is all connected by so much. Everybody on this planet has to be very brave in order to prepare for and except the mystery that will someday be our death. We all must face it and not let the fear consume us!! When we can except fate, we can except life and live it to the fullest until our day comes. Don't live in fear or you will not live at all. Be brave my friend, we are all in this boat and if we work together we will all stay afloat.

Blessings, Day

Hey Katsuyaa111,

I hope you’re doing better. I can completely relate to how you are feeling. You are not alone. I’ve struggled with the same fear since I’ve been a kid and now I’m 25. It really sucks. Letting that fear take over your life. I can tell you from first hand experience, what’s helped me is talking about it and understanding that it’s okay that things are the way they are. It’s okay. I think speaking to a professional will help a lot. And don’t be embarrassed or afraid to do so. Also, use this as a sign to open up with your parents, loved ones, people you can trust. Show them you love them every day. The smallest things go a long way. The fear of not growing up is something I can relate too. To me it’s crazy to hear someone like yourself is going through what I went through. I say this to remind you, you are not alone. Growing up can be scary, but also rewarding. You mature, and realize life is full of beauty, sadness, and everything in between, and that’s okay. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Not sure if you’re religious, but God has a plan for us all. I think you should talk about it with your family and seek professional help, which is totally okay. Don’t bottle it up please. You got this. Life is not all despair, it’s about loving ourselves despite not being perfect and loving the people we most hold dear everyday. Living life that way, and you can’t regret anything. Hope this helps.

im sorry that you have to deal with this at such a young age. I’m 32 and I also deal with it. I have children and I wouldn’t want them to ever have to go through anxiety or depression. My biggest fear is me dying. I think about what will happen to my children if I was to die. Or what will happen to me if something was to happen to my husband or children. But honestly, God will take care of us all. I know this because I lost my mother and i couldn’t imagine life without but God has honestly taken care of me and my 10 year old brother. I was able to push through. And yes it’s a struggle still but I do it everyday because I know she’s in a better place. And I know for a fact her biggest anxiety was the same as mine. But I know she is looking down happy because my little brother is well taking care of. I say all of this to say talk to your parents you may think we don’t understand but in reality we deal with it as well. Most parents live so long because the love of their children and you being their motivation. I also believe we all have a purpose to fulfill and God will get us through it. God knows us better than we know ourselves, he knows what we can handle and can’t. He will get us through it all.
