Trouble Going to Bed
Hey guys,
So… not every night, but some nights, I just have the hardest time getting into bed. I don’t know if it’s anxiety or trauma or caffeine or just feeling hyper and not wanting the evening enjoyment to end. But whatever it is, sometimes I stay up hours after I should, and it’s frustrating.
If you have a solution for me, feel free to share, but I imagine most of you won’t, so all encouragement and strength are welcome!
Thanks a lot!

@GreenLime3141 I felt like that for a while, my reason was having gruesome vivid nightmares, so sleep was the last thing I wanted.
Do you journal at all? I find that clears my head and solves confusion.
I think I eventually told myself, you can't be productive if you're tired all the time.
I tried to think of happy memories or good things before bed.
I listen to asmr sound effects, like beach waves or thunderstorms and that makes me drowsy.
I hope you figure out what's bothering you and get into a healthier sleep pattern :)

I would avoid going to bed because I couldn't get to sleep. I think I developed anxiety about going to bed because I didn't want to lay there tossing and turning.
Good sleep hygiene is to disconnect from phone and TV for an hour before bedtime. Try to go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time too. Avoid caffeine in the evening and alcohol before bed. Develop a "wind down" routine like read a physical book, journaling or take a bath.
I know the frustrations of not being able to sleep. And I do believe you develop anxiety about going to bed. I hope this helps. 🤗🫶💜
Haiii, im going through the same stuff and honestly if ur feeling like this u shud try taking meds for it (I hav been doing it even tho im not old enough for it) or you can do this one thing where you close ur eyes and make fake scenarios in your head but make it boring and play stuff safe. U will eventully fall asleep and continue it in ur dream !!

Hi, this is really relatable and I also have issues going to bed sometimes as well. I think you can try listening to some sleep hypnosis music or asmr sounds. I find those very helpful.
