University Presentation
I have a presentation to do on thursday. But I have been too anxious to actually work on it. I tried to, pulling allnighters, drinking energy drinks, but i just could not focus. For some reason I have associated anxiety with university, to the point that even just studying makes me so anxious I feel sick, let alone going to class.
So i could not finish my presentation, and I emailed the professor, If i could do it next week. To which she replied that i can, but she would like to see a medical certificat that i was ill. But i am not ill... so the doctor won't give me one.
I just feel so lost on what to do. I have already failed some classes due to anxiety. I dont want to fail this one too.

Hi Moon, thank you for reaching out and sharing about your anxiety. I can see how this is a very overwhelming experience for you. Anxiety can feel cripling and it can overpower our life choices if left unchecked.
To me it seems like you feel anxious about something and that makes you avoid it all together and clearly its creating some issues.
The current situation seems to be part of a bigger problem. The reason why your attempts at all-nighters and energy drinks did not work is likely because they are not addressing the main issue. Your problem appears less to be time restraint or general lack of focus and more so this feeling of anxiety.
I recommend checking out this cycle of anxiety video to better understand how our choices can increase or decrease anxiety.
The good news is that even if you don't know what causes your anxiety, exposure therapy is still helpful. This growth path can also be helpful
As for the issue at hand, it may help to be honest with your professor about your struggles. Additionally, you maybe able to get some form of such a note from your school/universities counselor. Most institutions have them.
