What are your techniques to approach people?
As the questions says. I'm curious about what you think before approach to someone you feel interested.
I have been using a mindset of "seeing everyone as old friends" and it's actually working for me, I can feel less anxious (in my case because I have social anxiety) and actually I feel more interested in the other person. But sometimes I feel afraid of appear kinda "intense" to other people among other thoughts.
So what do you think in order to make the conversations more joyful and interesting?

Unfortunately, my social anxiety is severe and I am not able to approach people that I am interested in. If she has pretty eyes and a pretty smile, my mind goes blank and I'm there to fend for myself. It's not a pretty sight. To make matters worse, I get embarrassed very easily and will turn so red, I put Rudolph to shame. 🤷♂️
I feel you my friend. It's something that it difficults our lives. It's something that you do not overcame in one day. You recognize good things in other people. It's our job to feel capable of expressing them, it's hard but not impossible. I'm still suffering from that but at the same time I know it's a way to cope from past experiences, it's our mind trying to protect us from other people but there is not danger like in the past. At least that's my case. I hope you keep trying, it's not about never have fear, it's about doing it even when you feel scared. It's about courage, even in small things, small things are important.
I feel you. I’m here. You’re not alone.
This is hard to deal with, this social anxiety. I know I’ve been there. It will get easier but you must be very patient. It probably won’t happen overnight even though you wish it would. But trust me it does get better.
I really feel for you in this it is not easy.
