What do you do when you are abused constantly
You know the feeling?when you have done your best to make them feel good even when it hurts you but still you are not enough....they tell you words that leave scars worse than anything......abusing is such a traumatic thing may it be verbal or physical
I don't know how to handle it..... I just can't.... it breaks me like ***
I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. You clearly have so much to give, and I hope you know you are worthy of the love you are trying so hard to obtain from this person. They do not define your worth, nor does it have to be earned.
Wishing you all the best. 🫂
It does take a toll because it's constant, especially if they concentrate on the areas you specifically feel sensitive over.
What I started to do was counteract it. I journalled and poured out my feelings, it may have even started negatively, I don't like this or that about myself..
But afterwards I would strive to be kinder, once my head was clear.
Actually, although I'm not an expert at... I feel I quite good at..
I haven't perfected so and so, but at least I'm working on it..
The things I like myself about myself are...
And so forth and eventually for me, it took :)
@modestAcres6079 That's heartbreaking to hear...But I want to let you know that you're more than enough. Just existing is a valid reason to be loved and respected. And If someone treats you badly,it's not your fault, you can't control it. It is their problems being reflected on you,and it's unfair. I don't know what the person has told you,but it must have been really awful...I'm proud of you for surviving this...And it's okay that you don't know how to handle this,I wouldn't neither...From 1 to 10,how bad would you say the abuser's words are?
