When You Open Up and Still Feel Invisible

You ever try to open up to someone finally build the courage to be honest about your pain and they’re just... playing a game?

Like bro I’m out here spilling what’s in my chest, and you’re focused on a f***ing match?

I’m not mad. I just feel small. Like what I say doesn’t matter. Like I don’t matter.

And then I feel guilty for even feeling that way. Like I’m the problem for wanting someone to just give a damn.

But I’m not asking for much. Just a little attention. A “hey, I hear you.”

Is that too hard?

I don’t need a hero. Just someone who sees me. That’s all.

I totally get where you are coming from. We open up tell someone something and they give us a bobble head nod then even later do not remember something we shared.  It is more disappointing but at a certain point can become being mad about it.

It is almost impossible to not feel like we are not that important to them.  be careful what you wish for as you may get some sort of " i hear you" and then they later show their response was like a customer service person saying "have a nice day".  An automatic response to placate does not equal respect and understanding for the long term.
