i have anxiety, my parents also do but when i tell them worries they just tell me to stop being dramatic or tell me im acting like my attention seeking cousin and i hate it so much. i dont get why they don’t understand its like nobody does. they think im acting stupid because im 16 and i shouldn’t “be acting like a kid”. it gets so bad thinking about events, school, public spaces and i just wish i could calm it down/ get rid of it. its like it runs my life at this point

@caitslay It's okay to relax and believe that you're no different than anyone else. By doing what you love, you'll forget about your worries for a while, which will help you move on.

Hey I can definitely understand where your coming from. I have bad anxiety too and don’t enjoy being around other people. You aren’t being dramatic or acting like a kid. If you need someone to talk to then im here! As a friend, or someone to vent to if that’s what you want! I know this is a late reply but still

It’s frustrating when parents don’t validate your feelings or anxiety.
