Hi, im Rina and I have Anxiety from my parents fighting all the time. My mom tends to get violent with my dad but my dad doesn't do it back he's scared to hurt her. Anytime they argue I stay up late to make sure it doesn't get physical and worry fir my dad all the time because it feels like she wants to actually end his life sometimes.

Hello!

I'm technically not new here but I haven't been on 7 cups in a long time.

If you see me around you can call me Angel or A, my username doesn't suit me anymore.

I'm 28, in a committed relationship, part of the LGBTQ+ (Im the B T) community, trying to go back to college, and deal with Depression, Anxiety, and ADHD

I sadly don't do much but I've recently gotten into video games

I look forward to getting and giving support and learning more about this space

I feel like anxious in social gatherings and at times at work environment as well. Need to get hold of my emotions a little better.

Hello! Teen from Florida, 13, in middle school.
I have anxiety (undiagnosed but anyone can tell), misophonia (gods above being undiagnosed doesn't stop it from ruining my life), and other people have both been telling me I have and don't have autism (I think I'm probably high-functioning but my parents aren't interested in me getting a diagnosis, only in figuring out the misophonia).
I really struggle with "wearing a mask" in my day to day life and it feels like I'm rarely, if ever, being genuine with anyone. I get anxious and angry a lot (which is why learning from a friend that I rarely if ever show emotion in school was unexpected), but there are also the good moments (gotta remember to focus on those).
Misophonia, for those who are unaware, is a psychological condition in which the brain perceives some sounds as harmful and dangerous and those sounds send it into fight or flight- despite them being perfectly normal sounds (as everyone LOVES to remind me). These "bad" sounds are typically referred to as trigger sounds. Mine are smacking, sniffling (that thing you do where you breathe in through your nose and suck in snot that was dripping out and it creates a sound, gods above that makes me want to rip out someone's sinuses with a pencil), and more recently coughing/throat clearing. It has gotten to the point where to interact with ANY other people (excluding my twin, who generally tries her best to not make the sounds around me when others (read: parents, little sister, and classmates) either don't care or make the sounds more to annoy me (and when that happens it's really f***ing hard to keep my reputation as the calm quiet rule follower) ) I need to be constantly wearing earplugs (skin tone for school), this one specific type of earbud that is also an earplug (look up Mipeace if you're interested), or headphones.
I cannot deal with this. The misophonia makes life barely livable, the anxiety is just always there, and I have sensory overloads to the point of crying (preferably in a dark room, but if I can't I'll just use my hands to cover my eyes and plug my ears) about every month, more so if there's school or other factors. I have been wanting to go deaf for a while now - deaf would be so much better than misophonia, I could just learn ASL and get actual freaking accommodations without a ton of paperwork and I wouldn't have to deal with these freaking sounds (providing I don't just start hallucinating the sounds, that could happen)- ack, SH spiral, ugh.
Anyway, I just need help with all of this, OK?
I'll probably make a misophonia vent post later, if that's allowed (is it?)
