Help
I've been struggling with GAD/Panic Disorder my whole life and have recently developed depression. About 2 months ago, I stupidly tried a teeny tiny bit of coke, definitely my first and last time every doing so. However, since then I've been so ashamed and angry at myself and my brain is trying to convince itself that I'm addicted and that my life as an addict has begun.
How do I stop this? What should I do?
Help!
@emily2017 Oh dear you do not want to do cocaine. How old are you? I was young once and screwed up a lot of opportunities in my life over partying, boys, and drugs. When I was 23, I had to drop out of college and ended up working at a hospital in the janitorial department. The pay was really good, but I wasted a lot of it on drugs. When I was 25, I starting escorting b/c I lost my job and I was desperate for money and my drugs. When I was 27, I had a miscarriage. I am not positive if the drugs had anything to do w/that, but I immediately stopped. Drugs are addicting and at the same time they are just killing a person! Member the commercials from the 90's? Eggs in a frying pan and they said "this is your brain on drugs"? That is true. You say you have GAD/Anxiety issues? Coke isn't going to fix that. My husband has anxiety and he gets drunk every night hoping the alcohol to cure him. No. Anxiety is rough but can be treated. Cocaine will only make it worse. Please, my dear, do not get involved w/that stuff. I am sure you are young and have many dreams. Accomplish your dreams and go to school! Drugs just mess it all up.
@TransAm85 Hi ! Don't worry, it was two months ago and I hated every second of it. I have no plans to ever touch any of that again!!
@emily2017 Alright, please, I may not know you personally, but I still care. You have better things to do than mess around w/that stuff. Go to school and conquer your goals and dreams! Never let a damn drug take control of your life. You deserve so much more.
@TransAm85
I hope you don't beat yourself up over decisions you made when you were younger. Their is no way of telling if your Life would hav turned out better or worse, had you done things differently. Are you familiar with the butterfly effect? For example: A student that didn't drop out of College... might hav been involved in a fatal Car wreck, while driving home for Spring break. Granted the odds are remote- but things like that can and do happen. The future branches out in Limitless outcomes (Good ones, and Bad ones) Even a bad event might hav prevented a far worse one. Everybody who boarded the Titanic wishes they had gotten a flat tire that morning, and missed the boat. Try not to hav regrets... bc you just never know
