I don't know if these are mild panic attacks or not

I guess when I am in an arguement, get told off, am asked to answer a question or have to present in class a couple symptoms of panic attacks start like fast heart rate, trembling, tight throat and tense muscles start (although these vary on the situation) and I don't know if these are panic attacks or just my body reacting somewhat to a situation I don't like but isn't a panic attack. Any ideas that might help ease my mind on this?

Thanks 👍

@Heroesmakehistory
hello! this used to happen to me as well. I typically catagorize panic attacks as when the reaction actually becomes a bit dabilitating. When the stress response is so severe, that i need to exit the situation and collect myself, hyper-ventilation is one of the major signs for me. There's also a place on the back of my head that cramps up really bad during a panic attack :P

From your symptoms, is sounds like you may have stage fright! <3 I know the feeling very well. The only way to curb the stress response from those situations (for me), was to put myself in mild situations, of public speaking, or performing. To slowly get my body to realize that it is not as scary as it seems. Like for instance, if you have a presentation to do. Invite over a few friends! practice in front of them, or family. Sometimes, even rehearsing over and over in front of a mirror helps get the body used to what youre about to do. It helps me go into "auto pilot" so i can focus less on presenting, and more on staying calm.

I hope this helps! I used to suffer from panic attacks, and they are very scary. Remember, you can always step away, take some breaths and drink water. People generally understand. Best wishes!

also. being told off, or being in a confrontation. Those reactions used to happen to me as well.
Always know you can step away. Because whatever happens next, you will do much better if youve calmed down a little.
