Sleep anxiety/anxiety attacks
Every night for the past two weeks or so I've had pretty intense anxiety and insomnia, each intensifying because of the other, and have wound up having a hand full of anxiety attacks during this time period. Anyone have any tips on sleep anxiety?

Weighted blankets have always seemed to do the trick for me i also listen to lofi music to kinda distract myself especially new songs so you kinda focus on learning the lyrics
@imaTiredBoi haha just bought a weighted blanket really enjoyed it. Here's hoping we've found a solution!

I am sorry that you are experiencing that, I know it is very difficult. Reaching out to this community is something very admirable and I want to thank you for doing so.❤️ I think that meditation is, indeed, something you can find helpful. Have you tried it before? Practicing mindfulness is extremely important and can surely be helpful and healthy for you❤️
I haven't been able to sleep for more than 3 hours at a time since December, until a med adjustment, but I wake up now no later than 4:30/5 am sill. Wide awake panicked with the day and what I need to do or mind still worried about whatever happened yesterday or even something from days ago. I'm grateful to maybe get 6 hours of sleep but I still wake up, sometimes unable to breathe, or in tears. I am looking for ways to dissolve the anxiety in the morning and keep myself busy to diffuse the ticking time bomb before my family wakes. I've just been placed on temporary disability with COVID and even more anxious. Some tips would be appreciated.
@PeaceJuniperAimee sounds like me
@PeaceJuniperAimee I'm so sorry to hear the struggles you are going through. A helpful book to read can be The Untethered Souk which cannot help teach mindfulness and here's a link to a great resource: https://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/-/media/CCI/Mental-Health-Professionals/Sleep/Sleep---Information-Sheets/Sleep-Information-Sheet---04---Sleep-Hygiene.pdf
You can also search on YouTube for guided nighttime relaxation meditations and someone will talk you through relaxing and falling asleep, my favorite Chanel is the mindful movement , they have great options
I have repeatedly received advice on meditation but .. I still could not get into the right state, although I followed all the instructions. Apparently this is not mine ((I use various sleeping pills. I prefer CBD oil, click the link now. I do not use this often, but sometimes I need to have a good sleep before an important event. CBD oil is safer than pills.
@GreenHouse89 is this oral? My doctor said not to take oral? He told me rub on chest. Would this kind be the kind I use? Is it all this expensive?
@GreenHouse89 have you use rubbed?
Hello, Can you please tell me more about your use with cbd oil I am very interested. I have been having a hard time sleeping for the past 2 months when my anxiety started I have heard good things about cbd oil but have never tried it and at this point am so desperate for a good nights sleep some nights I am 9nly sleeping 3 to 4 hours or waking up every hour and have a hard time falling back to sleep. @GreenHouse89
I'm the same sleeping pill just don't work anymore. I was thinking about the oil. Dose that really work
I had insomnia for quite a long time too, though I've recently started using cbd oils I got from https://utahrockymtn.com/shop/CBD-oil. It helped a lot, some research suggests that CBD can treat anxiety. Research published in 2019 looked at whether CBD could improve sleep and or reduce anxiety.
I dealed with that problem struggling to sleep stay sleep and anixety is such a nightmare I use a lot of lavender eucalyptus and mint to calm me down is so helpful
fear trauma is my biggest trigger
I have been getting these anxiety attacks for a month. I just could not stop them. It feels like death. I am exhausted. I feel so Helpless.
I would recommend you to search for the work of Prof. Steven Hayes. he has multiple videos on Youtube and also some best selling books. A agreat addition to that for the insomnia part is "The Sleeping Book" from Dr. Meadows.
