Biological Needle Phobia

My discomfort with needles used to fall within what I felt was the typical range - if I watched the needle insertion I would get lightheaded, but as long as I didn't watch the insertion I was ok.

This changed though when I started doing IVs on myself. I'm finding it's difficult to get good support for dealing with this. I'm getting really tired of having vasovagal reflex reactions. Sometimes I'm fine and don't experience this, but other times it's a big struggle. Luckily I have never lost consciousness, I worry that if I ever were to it could result in a very serious, dangerous situation depending on the circumstances surrounding that particular injection.
