Fear of Wasps

Hi!

So I have this really weird phobia of wasps, if I see one or it comes too close I physically can't stay there, I just have to get away. If I can't run or sth. I get really panicked. I never had any like trauma or sth associated with wasps but the phobia got worse a few years ago, when one of my relatives decided I was "just hysterical and wanted attention" and decided to hold me in my chair so I couldn't get away and well I panicked and passed out.

Does anyone have something similar? Because I feel horrible, everyone says i do it for the attention (because "nobody likes bugs but we all get over it"). Like its so great to be looked at everywhere because you are the one that freaks out like crazy over a stupid wasp:/ I never eat outside now because I don't want to be stared at like a crazy person :( Does anyone know how to get over sth like that ?

@conscientiousPlum8606 i am utterly terrified or wasps and bees so what i do if i am going outside in the season is spray myself with a wasp repelant spray, you can get some that smell really nice almost like a perfume. i find when using that bee's tend to stay away too :)

Believe me, it is not a weird phobia. I am utterly terrified of bees and wasps. Back in elementary school, I always cried whenever a bee flew into the classroom because I was so scared and the other kids would make fun of me for it. I always have my car windows down when I'm driving, etc. So you are not alone in this.
