Hypochondriac
Ok so idk if this goes in phobias but being the person I am, one who constantly worried about their health, I'm sort of freaking out. So I have this eye twitch, I've had it off and on for a few months. It's my left eyelid, and it feels like it's just rapidly twitching back and forth. When the twitches happen there's usually a second or a few seconds between them. I can see my eye move if I look in a mirror and I can feel it when I put my finger on my eye. They usually happen once or a few times a day for no more than idk like 10 minutes maybe. I'm worried it's because of a medical condition, and that that condition could be causing my depression.
@ChristmasTreesInTheMoonlight It's just anxiety .. if it persists, then go see a doctor. I like your title. I'm a hypochondriac too. I think every little problem is a huge sickness or ailment. My husband got me into herbal remedies instead of using up my health insurance for the year and going to urgent care all the time for stupid petty things! lol Herbal remedies do work for some things. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that's just stress/anxiety
@ChristmasTreesInTheMoonlight I agree with TransAm85, it sounds alike like anxiety/stress. Do you get migraines afterward ever? If it persists for long then I would suggest seeing a doctor to find out what is going on. Sorry this is causing you major anxiety and stress.

Hi, i'm sorry to hear that there is something bothering you. However, a lot of the time eye twitching is a symptom of anxiety or stress, sor there usually isn't anything to worry about.
If it's something that is ongoing, or you find it impossible to deal with, then i would suggest visiting your doctor for their opinion.
Hey everyone,
i am Timm, 19 and a very hypochrical person for a few years now. Everything happening makes me think I have deadly diseases and brings me quite down. Currently I have a cold and a wisdom tooth is coming out. In my worries i felt some nodules next to my ears and under my chin. After googeling a while I found out that these might just be lymps, but of course could be something extremly deadly. I am very afraid now and wondered if you have experiences same phenomens and maybe could calm me or generally could just calm me down.
Thanks alot, god bless and have a great day.
@neatScarf1315 since you have a cold, I would say they're probably just swollen glands and stuff. I would just keep an eye on them, see if they change and/or go away. If you're still worried about them, it wouldn't hurt to go to a doctor. People get weird bumps and stuff all the time, I'm sure you're fine :)
@neatScarf1315 One of the first things as a hypochondriac I've learned to do is to stop googling symptoms. Dr. Google will make you think that a soreness from working out your arms is an exotic disease from the tropics. If you're going to Google something, research hypochondria, panic disorder, anxiety and health anxiety. You'll find many more answers by googling those than googling your symptoms.
As for the nodes behind your neck, it's very common for people to get swollen lymph nodes from stress. Being a hypochondriac is such a catch 22. You worry about a boddily sympton which causes the body to produce more symptoms before you worry even more about them. Soon enough your body will show signs of stress from all the worrying. That's what I think the nodules behind the lymph nodes are.
I just recommed you relax as much as you can. Do as many fun things that you enjoy that will take your mind off it. Soon enough you'l forget about your symptoms entirely and they'll go away. If it's something really concerning, go to your doctor, but otherwise, trust your body.
Hope I could be of service :)

I get a similar eye twitch along with several other twitches in my body. I take numerous prescription medications which have seemingly countless side effects, so I blame most of my body's abnormalities on them, which is usually accurate. Do you take any prescription medications?
I am a huge hypocondriac so I know what it feels like to be worried about persistent body conditions. I'm no medical doctor by any means, but my best advice is just to trust your body to know that it's taking care of you. I run to my dad freaking out all the time about litle body conditions and he always reminds me "When you're truly hurt, youi'll know it".
Hope this is of some help to you :)
