Moving out, separation anxiety, fear of not making it on my own

August 7th, 2016

So at almost 28 years old I'm jumping in the deep end of moving out for the first time in 2 weeks and I'm terrified. I've always been a homebody and I'm extremely close with my mum who I currently live with. I feel like I'm holding myself back by relying so much on her and living here, so despite only being a full time student without a job, I feel I really need to do this. I just can't help thinking that I'm not going to make it :/

@Acatcalledmae

Congratulations on this next step in your journey. I moved out roughly 2 months ago. It can be scary. I still face moments where I'm not sure I can make it on my own, but then I realize that I'm doing it.

Some days are better than others, and I hope you find that your family will still be there to support you (emotionally or otherwise) even when live on your own.

Feel free to leave me a message if you'd like to talk more about your thoughts, your worries, your challenges and your successes.

Stay strong :)
