Tokophobia - Fear of Pregnancy

So I'll start this by saying I 100% know I do not want to ever carry a child. I dont like the idea of having kids and I do not want one. However I also have an irrational fear of getting pregnant. Pregnant women scare me the sight of a pregnant stomach makes me feel ill. Every part of the experiance makes me feel so anxious thinking about it. This had led me to feel anxious about sex even when I'm on birth control AND using condoms. Even as a kid I used to be afraid that I'd become pregnant if I masturbated. It's all quite absurd. I just want to be able to have sex with my partner without severe anxeity after. I'm currently off birth control which makes it worse. I'm having trouble getting birth control right now so it's just added to my anxeity. Anybody else deal with this phobia?

I have the same thing, I've been trying to work through it in therapy but the process has been put on the back burner due to college and life keeping me busy. It's very relieving to hear that other people have the same exact phobia as me, especially with similar aspects. I am horrified of having sex or becoming pre//ant, even with masturbating similar to what you have experienced. I think I would feel less anxious if I was on birth control, but my insurance doesn't cover that. On top of tokophobia I also most likely have vaginismus so it just makes sex all the more scary. I can't even use tampons without having panic attacks, and for a long time I was scared of shaking hands with men or sitting in chairs after them. I relate to your experience deeply and I'm so glad I'm not alone.

I definitely understand how this feels, like every word of this resonated with me. I'm not in college or anything but I've been trying to pick up hobbies so I'm not trapped inside my mind all the time.

I am also severely tokophobic! I also live with OCD and I often have delusions that I'm having a phantom pregnancy (a pregnancy with no symptoms) and nothing really consoles the anxiety that I feel. I literally can't understand how other people WANT to have children. I mean mad respect to them though considering they don't have the same fears I do...
