Worried
This morning I woke with the fear of dying. I had multiple anxiety attacks today to the point of chills and chest pain. I believe my trigger was the car accident I was in. I've had a couple crazy things happen this past month and that was the thing that just made me freak out. I dont know , usually I'm good at coping with my anxiety, but I just dont know what to do. I hate feeling out of control.
@Boriqua I'm sorry that your anxiety has been overwhelming and I'm sorry to hear that you were in an accident recently. I hope you are ok.
When my anxiety spikes (just last month I had a severe panic attack after I heard a driver honk his horn to another driver; I wasn't involved at all but I freaked out) I turned to the community for advice and some of the advice I recieved in return included
Listening to calming music: try weightless by macaroni union or clair de lume
shock your system: splah cold water on your face or if you're home jump into a cold shower
Distract yourself: I like strategy games. Trying to solve the level means I can't think about what's causing my anxiety
Use online tools: I use wysa and rootd with 7 cups (rootd is designed to get a person through a panic attack)
These were just some of the things that I found helpful. There are still so many other exercises or techniques out there. I wouldn't mind sharing more if you want to keep talking about it.
@SecretlyMe
Thank you so much for your words. I listened to piano for anxiety. Helped but I couldn't get the thoughts out of my head.
I'm definitely going to try your suggestions.
I appreciate it. Its nice to know I'm not alone.
@Boriqua Of course, let me know what works and what doesn't. I'll also try looking up piano music to see if that helps as much as the songs I mentioned. :)
