8/9 had to take a loa from work

This morning i woke up to one of the worst panic attacks I've ever had. I was hyperventilating. I had to wake up my husband so i wasn't alone dealing with this. He held me in his arms as i cried and was shaking. He is so wonderful and i feel bad that he has to deal with me. I got an email from my boss yesterday saying applying for another loa might be the way to go. I feel so defeated. Like I'm just completely losing myself. I did make some progress yesterday though. I went to my primary care doctor and told her what was going on. She set me up with a therapist for 1 session to see what that does. If it doesn't help we'll start medications. Then she took some blood to check on my thyroid and adrenal glands and heart. Hoping that we find some sort of resolution.

It's so frustrating how this effects my work ethic. I'm usually always at work doing my job, now i can't. It's the place that triggers my attacks and guilt the most.

I'm sorry that you had to go through that scary experience crying. I know panic attacks are really scary. You have a wonderful and lovely husband there! I'm glad that he was there for you. I hope your session with your therapist goes/went well! There is a lot of coping strategies for anxiety and panic attacks here in the forums!
