Afraid to survive on my own

I believe it to be normal, as I feel like that too and know other people who share your fears..

At least for me, when I was doing therapy, my therapist was very good (on my pov) and I trusted myself more while I was in therapy because I felt that if anything went wrong I had him to vent and for counseling. And I needed this optimism and having someone to whom I could tell all my thoughts without the worry of being criticized.. Since the professionals arent our friends, I mean, besides the appointments I had no other interaction with my therapists, so when I stopped going there I felt a bit of loss and fear. I missed my therapist, who would offer me kind and wise thoughts, and the safety of keeping all I told confidential. Its been years since I last talked to my therapist. Its a weird feeling.. On the other hand, slowly I could find ways to talk about my worries with other people.. here and elsewhere. With my friends I know I cant share it all with one person as Id do with a listener or a therapist.. so I just tell how much I think I should .. I believe you also can adapt. Maybe if you think of your goals, make plans , think of the steps to get there, divide it in small steps.. small victories will give you safety.. You can do it.. Hugs ..
