Anixety Due to Health Issues

So...I'm kind of freaking out. I've been having some health issues over the past month. Some things I have a good idea of what's going on with me and some things I don't. It's the "don't" that's freaking me out. I immediately go to the worst case scenario on things. I've got an appointment scheduled this week, so I'll be able to at least get some kind of opinion on what might be happening. I just hate that I'm freaking out so much about this. Even if there is something bad, at least I'm going to get it checked out and worked on. I'm not ignoring it.

Anyway, I'm just struggling because I just don't want anything to be wrong. At least nothing so horrible that it can't be fixed. It's hard not to worry about it right now. I mean, I can't do anything more than I've done right now. Waiting just sucks.

@thoughtfulmomma

Have you ever read any books on mindfulness? I'd strongly recommend "Full Catastrophe Living" by Jon Kabat Zinn. Also, have you tried meditation? There are guided meditations on Youtube you can try or apps. You don't need to do a 45 minute meditation- you can do 5 to 10 minutes a day (preferably in the morning). Hope this is of some help!

@leesemarie

I do meditate daily, though some times it's a struggle. Some days it's a great meditation, but the more agitated or anxious I am, the less effective it is. I wish I could be more relaxed and positive about things. I mean, in the past I've been in this situation and everything turned out okay. So I don't know why I don't learn from that, but I don't - I go back to "I have a problem, it must be terrible."

Frustrating, and stressful as I wait for my appointment this week. :(
