Anxiety
Since the pandemic has begun way back, I have experienced a lot of heightened anxiety and anxiety’s I’ve never felt before...paranoia, light/noise sensitivy causing anxiety, almost what I can describe as agoraphobia, racing heartbeat, tinnitus when I’m stressed, intense vertigo, and racing thoughts like I have never experienced in my life. I’m extremely exhausted almost every day but it’s never enough to turn my brain off at night when I need the rest the most. Every time I feel like I make great progress I feel as if something new presents itself and sets me back. I’m in a relationship, have a support system (friends and family) and own a business and have a relatively good life, but there’s so much I cannot turn off in my brain and my mental health almost always ruins me or my surroundings. 2022 hits at midnight and I shit you not ive been in a manic episode since having extremely high highs and low lows. I feel as if I am spiraling and I can’t catch myself and I’m unsure as to what is triggering it. I can’t tell if it’s certain attributes of my life that need change or if it is me that has to change but I feel like im literally losing my mind while everyone else in our world is too as well with the state it is in. This is why I am here at almost 11pm seeking out for help. I don’t know where to begin with my issues, but I don’t have people to talk to that understand mental health or have the capacity to talk about it. I feel like a crazy person. I’m sitting in my boyfriends kitchen as he sleeps sobbing for no clear reason and eating to comfort myself and I cannot even begin to pinpoint why. I hate feeling this way and I’m afraid to talk about it and sound like I’m insane as well. I don’t know if this message reaches out to anyone or relates to anyone, but just writing this and putting it out there almost is comforting. If there’s anyone to talk to with advice or who can relate I’d love to hear some insight.

Hey. I'm sure that many people on here not only related and understood but felt for you too. I certainly did. I've been struggling with anxiety a great deal over the course of the last six months and I've only just realised that I have, in fact, been struggling for much longer. I've spent some time on this website, I've practiced mindfulness and I've talked to a different group of people (outside, perhaps, of my own usual friendship circle) about what I'm experiencing. That has given me the confidence to talk about it to my partner and my family and, importantly, to talk to myself about it and to forgive and understand myself for why I'm feeling this way. And, you know, just when I think i'm on top of it it gets triggered and comes back for reasons that I can't identify. It's so worrying and frustrating and just feels as if I'm going back to square one. Sound familiar?? Anyhow - just to say - i'm thinking of you and I'm on your side.
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. It’s comforting to know that I’m not alone even though I don’t wish that feeling upon you or anyone. I do my best to be mindful and give myself credit when it’s due but sometimes it’s really hard and I’m sure you have your moments as well. It all does sound very familiar. I appreciate the insight and this does make me feel like I should maybe try and reach out to my loved ones once I can articulate it correctly. I appreciate you and thank you for thinking of me it means a lot.
This often happens to me. My anxiety does not give me peace of mind especially at night when I have some time to sleep. I have a very good life but something often bothers me and I feel very bad. But recently I found a way out. Usually I have anxiety when I have a lot of work and do not have time or when I have absolutely nothing to do. Then I drink soothing with online pharmacy usa and dedicate a day to sports- it's my hobby. When I work out in the gym, I get distracted from everything and forget about all my imaginary problems. My mind is cleared and I can think light. I think you should also find something that will distract you and guide you in the right direction
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I completely resonate with all of this. I almost feel guilty for being upset because I don’t always know why! My anxiety is definitely heightened when I’m too distracted or not distracted at all, there is never really an in between. I think what you’re saying makes complete sense. I am a workaholic and often when my brain is going all day I cannot turn it off when it is time to rest. I think taking up a hobby to use that energy on at some point would definitely be helpful. I often want to go to the gym but that’s something I’d like to work on pushing myself towards. I really appreciate the feedback and your words of encouragement. Thank you so much !!
All I can say is that I relate to the paranoia. This whole pandemic took a hard hit on my mental health. Feeling like others are listening in on my thoughts and spying on my personal life. I went through a lot during 2021, but feel better now. I hope things get better for you soon. Wish you the best of luck.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I think paranoia has been instilled in a lot of people and the way you described it is pretty much spot on how I feel as well! It’s very uncomfortable. I am
happy to hear that it has gotten a lot better for you now and it definitely gives me some hopefulness! I appreciate the feedback and means a lot!
omg I am feeling and going through the same. Bad new triggers me and cause me to worry. What other symptoms do you have? Mine as well started when the pandemic hit.
