Anxiety

I am very stressed over this kid. I’ve been texting them and I have seen them in person before but they goto a different school so we don’t see each other at all really other than sporting events cause we both do track and xc. But anyways some days they are texting me and they seem really interested and some days they dont seem to care at all. They always apologize if the don’t text back for a long time but that’s like a lot. The one time they didn’t message back for 24 hrs, but then was like oh sry how was ur day. So they apologized and started a new conversation. Why start a new converstaion if they aren’t interested? But I feel like I’m overthinking this too much and it’s becoming a problem and it’s so annoying cause its all I can ever think about. It gives me really bad anxiety just thinking abt it. Any advice?

It's understandable that are very stressed about this, I would be too if someone didn't reply to me. Have you tried talking to them about how this makes you feel? It might help them to understand your point of view on the situation.

Yeah, no I didn’t. We’ve only been talking for like a few weeks so I don’t want to sound weird or desperate or anything yk. But ur right it, it might be smart to talk to him abt it.

Hey, i understand this is a very difficult and stressful situation- it is completely normal to overthink in these situation, however there is only one way of finding out how exactly they feel about this situation, as making assumptions may just add unnecessary stress, i know it can be difficult talking to them about this especially if you are worried about their response but it may be better to know the truth then to be left it in dark with this always on your mind, have you considered talking to them about this?
