Anxiety about exam
Hello! I'm a senoir student in high school. I have upcoming exam next year, which is very important to my future because Its result will be handed to university application. I'm really worried that I won't pass the exam and I always feel like no matter how hard I try to study with my full effort, I still won't ever pass this exam. I sometimes cry alone without my parents knowing because I don't want them to know my pain and I always think that they will just brush it off saying ' Oh come on, you will be fine' or 'Don't be dramatic!' Sometimes I feel so confident aboit myself but when it's time that I'm not it's just so so scary...
Hi~ I used to have a lot of anxiety and stress surrounding exams but one of my tutors actually helped me moved past that by helping me do so well at exams that I really have little worry about how well I will do. What he said was that, we often think that there's a luck components with these exams and we try to allocate our efforts to what will most likely appear on your exam. But that's actually not going to guarantee you a good score. What really guarantees you being an A student is to know all the materials within the syllabus well. That just inspired me to really study a wide range of questions to the point that there's almost no chance that I am absolutely clueless about any question that I may see on the exam. My preparedness for just baout all situations, together with the fact that I didn't see extraordinary questions that much on my exams anymore, has helped me to become less anxious about the exam, because I know what to expect and I have enough experience with various mock exams to know I will be fine. Hope this helps.
