Anxiety and stress about so many things
Has anyone else's anxiety really shot up with all of the Covid cases, lockdowns, riots, election craziness, etc.? I don't like to discuss politics because there are so many differences of opinion and things can get so heated and ugly so quickly. I will say, however, that I didn't vote for either of the two main candidates and would have felt scared and apprehensive whatever the outcome. On top of all of the worries that go with that, we have the never-ending threat of Covid hanging over our heads and all of the unrest and violence and craziness going on in the world. And it's that time of year when the days are shorter and the weather tends to be gloomier, so I always feel more anxious and sad because of that, too.
Does anyone else ever find everything to be just "too much," if you know what I mean? Do you ever find yourself wishing you could run away somewhere pleasant and relaxing to get away from it all, but you just don't know where? I don't know how to explain it exactly. I just feel so stressed and exhausted and emotional about everything and I don't quite know what to do to relieve all of that stress.
And, if that wasn't enough, I also find this time of year particularly difficult because the anniversary of my mom passing away (Nov. 10). Lots of reminders there. It will be 13 years this year and it feels both like it was just yesterday and a million years ago at the same time.
Just wish I could figure out a way to not feel so worried and anxious as often as I do.
