Anxiety and working out?

Ok I have two things.

1) I have finally started going to the gym! I was afraid for so long, bc I didn't want ppl to stare at me and think I was a wimp or something, but yesterday I finally beat that anxiety-thought! I went to the gym yesterday, and everyone was real' nice, and nobody looked at me. They were all focused on their own workout. I feel awesome after overcoming that hurdel! :D

2) I have a big problem. I have somehow "combined" my anxiety and working out. It's like... if I don't ride my bike at least twice a day, I get anxiety and I can't calm down. I get restless, can't focus on anything and can't sleep. I get sad and only wants to sleep (but can't ofc). My depression hits me head on, when I haven't gotten my two bikerides a day :S
It's like I'm addicted to it. What the hell do I do?

Well, I think that if you had to have a "bad" habit, then wanting to ride your bike is a great one to have! I don't see anything wrong with it unless it turns into something where riding twice a day turns into four times, and then ten times. If riding your bike relaxes you and makes you feel better - that's awesome. If you wanted to do yoga twice per day, or meditation twice, or pray twice - it's all the same. They're helpful and beneficial tools to deal with your anxiety. It's just when we rely on them all the time, around the clock that it might not be good for us.

@thoughtfulmomma hi. The bikeriding helps me to keep my depression at bay, but if I don't do it, my depression is back again with strong force :S

But I guess it's good for something. It helps me after all. I'm just worried about the effect on me, if I don't do it. I mean I have begun working out more and more. I started with one ride that became two rides that became two rides and a walk that became two rides, a walk and 1 hour yoga that became two rides, a walk, 1 hour yoga AND 2 hours at the gym. I'm just worried that something will go wrong. I might have become an endorfin-junkie or something...
