Hi there! Has anyone ever experienced a PTSD of a major anxiety you thought you had worked through? How do you deal with this?

Hey! I have PTSD and anxiety due to it! I deal with it by doing things that I enjoy like painting or journaling my feelings or thoughts! This serves as a good distraction! I also use grounding exercises to help get me through my anxiety! If you have any questions about grounding or just want to talk please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

I have PTSD due to childbirth via c section . Which also lead to anxiety and depression post partum. Things I find helpful are: Deep breathing exercises(headspace app) Long baths Lavender pillow spray Talking to someone about it Eating well Plenty water Plenty of sleep Walks TV. While your having a anxiety attack I would say controlled breathing in through nose out through mouth and take in what you can see and really focus on any smells, colours or even just the texture of something It's easier said than done i know but it's worth a try Also medication if you think you need it can really help with anxiety and depression . Cognitive behavioural therapy can help you to learn why this happens and how to deal with it if it does. All the best hope you feel well soon xx
