Anxious with just about anything.
Everyday is a constant battle with anxiety for me. My body feels the tingles once it hits and stays there for a long time. It makes me feel worse every day because it makes me think something is wrong with me but there isn't. I've had medical checkups and I'm perfectly healthy. Just may not mentally healthy. How do some of you guys deal with anxiety? I've never really had a perfect way to deal with it other than just go through it, lay down, and put some Vicks on my body to ease the breathing. It's an annoying way to live. I've conquered it for years and now it has returned. I started having it back in 2012. Had it for years and years then. Got rid of it the last three years and now it's back. It's easy to say not to think and think positively, but it's not so easy doing it. Speaking with people helps in a way but I don't have a lot of those in real life. I'm a loner and a lot of days I don't ever speak with anyone other than myself.

Hey Frank
I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling. I'm glad that you know some ways of dealing with anxiety, but I also understand that you are still bothered by your mental issues.
In your post you asked, if someone, who has experienced anxiety could tell, how they manage it. So for me it's a lot about the recoginition of my thoughts. So when I get anxious about something I start to identify my thought, which are making me feel anxious. And then I look at them as thoughts, not as reality. Then, often, there come other thoughts which say: But it's true! And I just let these thought pass through my mind. Because yes, my thought make me feel like they are true, but they are just thoughts. When it is really difficult, one thought can often help me: What can I do about the situation, I'm worrying about now? If the answer is something, I ask further: Does it make sense to make that now? If yes, I do it, if no, I can be assured, like if I couldn't do anything at all, that I can't do anything at all.
The feeling of anxiety is often still there for a moment, but I just continue going through my day. Because the feelings will pass soon after I don't take my thoughts as seriously as before.
Take care

Hey,
Im sorry you're feeling this way. I find that meditation helps with my anxiety. But deep breathing also helps. Sounds like you're developing coping mechanisms. We can only be hopeful that these feelings will pass.
