Anyone else experience 'sleep paralysis' ?

The past few days have been tough for me . I have been experiencing sleep paralysis on a regular basis . It could be because of a change in med . Last night as I was asleep / half asleep I felt as if my bed was shaking extensively and a massive earthquake of some sorts had occurred . I tried opening my eyes but could't move . Does anyone experience any thing similar to this ?

Also , if you have any tips to counter this then do let me know .

Thanks .

Hi there @calmsoulmeet <3

Gosh, poor you, that must be awful, can you ring your Dr? as you say it may be the side effects of new meds but he/she would know for sure, always best to check out such things.

Best wishes

This happened to me a long time ago when i was napping in my car between classes. I opened my eyes and I was fully awake but i could not move even a muscle. It actually happened twice.

I know most people find it to be terrifying but for me I thought it was absolutely fascinating. 15 minutes of not being able to to move, and only be trapped with my thoughts and my mind.

Yeah I actually wish I could find a way to induce it once in a while

I have had it happen to me. It was terrible. The house I lived in at the time was super haunted. I attributed it to the haunting. I know most people don't believe in ghosts but it is hard not to believe when you like in a house like that one. Hopper it gets better for you.

Don't worry too much about it, I have it often as well, sometimes I would wake up and I would have the same uncomfortable feeling of a strong vibration on my back. I wouldn't be able to move and my eyes were wide open as well.

But I've had it so often that even though I was in sleep paralysis, I could move my fingers slightly, and then I could move my arms a little, then my legs. It took a lot of work but eventually that's how I would wake up from my sleep paralysis.

So try your best to move your body, even as small as your fingertips haha
