Break up anxious

My gf just told me yesterday she wanted a break for like two weeks. Now I’m scared it’s over, but I have to wait still for her to confirm in two weeks. We’ve been together for 4 years and it’s breaking my heart. I haven’t eaten since yesterday, my stomach is in knots, I’m shaking a little. Idk what to do to calm down because I won’t feel better until she tells me….. and even then it might not be good news in two weeks.

Hello friend, regardless of the outcome, let me tell you that I've been there and it too will pass. Keep hydrated and keep trying to put some food in your stomach. Reach out to friends or people you know and ask for help to keep yourself distracted. One step at a time, remember: this too will pass. Focus on taking care of yourself and you will come out on the other side of the tunnel stronger than you were before.

Trust me, friend. You will overcome this.

Take care of yourself,

Cami

Beautifully said Cami.

See the hope in where there is some, for now its temporary and not something she intended to be permanent. It can be hard to take the worse outcome all at once. Make sure to take care of yourself and don't be too harsh on yourself. In these situations only time will tell.

Hi friend! Many, many others have been in your shoes and you are not alone.

Surround yourself with people who love you. Take things slow. Take deep breathes.

Take care of yourself!

No matter what the outcome is, you will get through this!

Best,

Haley

I know that this may seem like a lot but I promise it'll pass and you'll find someone else that makes you just as happy! I'm sorry this is going on though and if you need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out!

It seems like after 4 years your being given a sort of pause now on your relationship and that prove challenging.

You might be imagining what this might mean to your relationship and also experience its effects on your day-to-day since. It's understandable you feel as you do during this time in suspense.

Can you look back and see any patterns that may have lead up to this event in say her distant behaviour or communication? If not, will your gfri on pause be willing to explain further what's going on and why she decided to take a break exactly?

If she doesn't know, won't explain or will delay explanation until later then you still have a decision to also make.

You can determine what the relationship has meant to you and it's value throughout the years and including the future it may or may not hold.

Sometimes a pause is just a pause and things may resume and might be stronger for some in cases. Other times a pause might mean an eventual breakup as well. It might play out either way.

What are you willing to communicate concerning this pause and are you able to wait things out or not? There might not be any easy answers rather you figuring out you and what matters even if shes gone cold for a while or longer.

I do hope the best for you both however it may go and let us know if you need any further support!

@enthusiasticDog3017 No matter what the ending is in a relationship, it’s good, it’s run by two people, it’s bad, it’s also destroyed by two people, you can start to summarize what you did wrong in this relationship, you can tell yourself that this relationship is over, it doesn’t matter, but you can let my next It’s better to analyze the cause of a relationship and write out the solution. After these things are done, the mood will be better. You will feel that you are actively solving the problem. Anyway, after breaking up, it is very important to never allow yourself to degenerate.
