Coming off of meds

I'm currently working on coming off of Yorexa which was prescribed to me for anxiety and obsessive thoughts. My anxiety is peaking coming off of it and I'm so worried of getting back on the stuff so I'm struggling through it. I have gad and just need to pull through. Anyone else have similar experiences with withdrawals? I've only been on this stuff for 6 months

@cj4ebay I'm sorry you are going through this. I don't have experience coming off meds. I am perscribed to xanax but only take it as needed (and I take it less than that). Sometimes I just fight through the anxiety no matter how miserable I feel. Are you still taking it or did you go cold turkey? This might be something you need to talk to your doctor about. It isn't healthy to feel anxious especially when coming off the meds.

@cj4ebay

My advice is do it slowly and have a support system. The meds are there for a reason, to help you. So if you completly cut the meds without a plan will go really wrong.

First try to very slowly get a smaller dose or take the meds with less frequency.

Second inform your doctor/therapist of this, this is VERY important!!

And third, like I said, have a support system. From family , to friends, to an actual therapist.

Best of luck heart
