I'm concerned about my weight/health but prone to snack. I was going to cook something, concerned overeating, rewrapped and put in the fridge, still hungry so ended up sorta snacking but panic spike about how much I'm eating gah! I hate cooking.

Hi @Summersky13

I understand the struggle with food. I love food. :) I love to cook. I love to snack. I've spent most of my life with a little "extra" around the mid-section because of it.

I have really had to consciously train myself to eat less. Several trainers and physicians recommended intermittent fasting. Basically, you stop eating at a certain point at night and then try to go at least 14 hours without eating. I stop eating around 7pm at night. I'll have some nice hot tea to sip (of course, water, tea and black coffee are fine to have), but otherwise I don't eat until lunch the next day.

When you cook, you shouldn't be afraid to eat. You want to be able to have a good relationship with food. If you're hungry, you should eat. If you're not hungry, don't eat. You have to listen to what your body is telling you. Maybe eating smaller snack-like meals throughout the day would be better for you than the typical 3 meals per day.
