Dealing with What If Brain
I struggle with "what if" syndrome. :) I'm sure a lot of us do. You know. Something simple triggers that funk in your brain to go, what if he's lying, and what if she leaves, what if I fail, what if everything I believe and know to be true is wrong!
Today I think was the first time I was pretty successful in stopping my What If Brain. I literally stopped in the middle of the room and declared out loud (just to myself, because no one was home) - What if it does happen? It happened before, right? And you survived. And you'll survive again. Now move on! (I'm a little bossy with myself). :)
Anyway, one small victory. I hope you all had some victories today, too. Every little step forward means something!

100% and my life time what if's I categirised them in chronophobia since they were of the possible future...amd just like that I rejected aaalll opportunities in my life for this damned "what if". "What if?" Untill nothing iff so just iff it...😔
Congratulations on a personal victory! I fully understand the "what if?" I recently discovered I spend more of my time thinking about tomorrow than being in the moment. I realized how much I missed out on. Yesterday I made a day without internet. No social media, no email, and no news. It was refreshing. It's silly, but without those distractions I saw how much my cat loves me. So yesterday was a victory for me! Remember none of us are alone.
