I heard it's from PTSD. It's really scary though and sometimes I just don't know what to do.

@TheBunnyRabbit From what your saying I can imagine you feel you have lots of questions in your mind about your condition and want to tell you that it's absolutely to seek support from a listener or a therapist our site who may specialise in trauma, PTSD or have lived experiences of these conditions. There are organisations out there too like Mind.org, PostivePsychology.com which can include self-help exercises as well as information about your condition. If you search for these websites on the google search engine and just type your codition next to it you may find stuff to make you feel better about yourself. If wanting to go down the therapy route for support you may want to confide in person-centred therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy. There is also a great YouTube channel out there by Jason Stephenson which includes mindfulness exercises. Take care and good mental health 😌

I agree, please read up on it and learn all you can. It will make it easier to understand what you are dealing with.

I have only a few links, but, I will share with you.
https://www.isst-d.org/ International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation
https://mosaicminds.org/ Mosaic Minda
https://www.psychiatry.org/patients-families/dissociative-disorders/what-are-dissociative-disorders this is from the American Psychiatric Assoc. It is a good, credible place.

Bunny, the other links I had are no longer working. I wish they were. You can also search the Internet for a DES test. It is a type of test you can take for free online, that will give you some insight into your level and category of dissociation. I forget what each letter stands for now. But, it is a physhcology, therapy, dissociation test--not medical advice a psychiatrist would give you.

Hope this is helpful Bunny. It will get better the more you can know, learn about it, and figure it out and how it is for you. Then you can learn way to best help yourself with it, once you know more. But, a trauma trained therapist is a very important and it can be good to also have a trauma speicalist in psychiatry.
