Do you ever feel that you are just exageriting?
Hi guys! I'm having a little trouble with my anxiety thing... I was doing better, but I moved and now I'm having a lot of anxiety, I mean I can't go to the kitchen (I share kitchen with the landlords and 2 other students) and just eat something, the idea actually makes me feel bad and sometimes I don't eat.
I haven't told anyone cuz I feel really silly, like I'm making a big deal out of nothing cuz I know nothing can go wrong but I just can't
Does anyone feel that way? How do you usually deal with this?
Hope you are doing fine, I'll be thankful for the help or ideas or support
i was the same way when i first moved in the house im in now i share it with my bf and his family. I was always scared to shower there or go to the kitchen and eat. i would think that its their water than im using and id go to my parents or grandparents to shower. Id be afraid to buy food and put it on their fridge or eat in their kitchen like i was in the way of pestering them.
I eventually got over it slowly by alot of renfourcement from people telling me its okay. And that im allowed to do these things.
YES this is me 100%. I've always been like this no matter what house I live in. When I was still a teenager, I even did this when my dad would be in the kitchen (bad relationship with him). And then every house with every roommate since (like 5 or so diff places), it doesn't matter if I'm friends with them or not, I'll still be too anxious to go in the kitchen while they're there. It's the most screwed up thing, I don't even know.
Oh my god, yes! Sometimes I get scared of showing how scared I am because I know people are ignorant and they would judge me because of getting scared of silly things. It's so hard to deal with people. And we have this shop inside our house, and I'm scared of going to the living room 'cause sometimes my parents talk to people there and I don't like people. I always get startled and scared every time I need to talk to them when my parents are out. It's hard. :( And it makes me sad because not everyone could understand.
