Evening here !
Hello everyone.
Not sure where to put this, I messaged a listener about if I could post it… but haven’t heard back.
I reached out to two people today, I barely know now. They work at the Church I go to. This has nothing to do with religion, just sharing that they work within the church environment.
I reached out to two pastors, who I know, but not really well now.
Well… First reached out to a peer of mine asking them if my question was appropriate to send to ask for support, not in help I’m struggling. More like do you have any ideas about best way to connect with people , cause I need more healthy relationships. The number one thing that make this email so awkward was how vague I was. I am only looking for, any ideas about how to be more social without telling them I’m struggling. The question itself actually wasn’t awkward. But the way I explained, my reason why I don’t want more people worrying about me . So all this trying to ask for help, vaguely is what made this awkward. I have a hard time trusting people, lack of trust started in July 2022. But also, desperately trying to seek out mental health support. I was like, maybe ask how to connect with people, without telling them I’m struggling. I hope these people I emailed, can understand my reasoning behind my vagueness. One last thing, it’s going to get really awkward, if they have a suggestion, about best way to get together… I may have to pass on the offer, because I’m frantic seeking out mental health support. That I don’t want them to know. I know , I overthink things and worry about them , running into my parents (who go to church) and saying I heard from your daughter. That’s where my mind goes too, hints the awkwardness.
