Everything is falling apart

My anxiety is through the roof!y medications seem to help somewhat and I have been using alcohol to cope. A few days ago, I had an interaction and lost my balance and ended up hitting my face into a wall. I did actually trip on some electrical cords,but couldn't re gain my balance. My side of my face and eye is black and I see my Dr tomorrow for X-rays because it looks like I fractured my cheekbone. I have no friends around and have distanced myself from good ones over the years. My family is all hundreds of miles away. I have 2 kids and going through a divorce. I can't go back to work with my face like this... and I feel so embarrassed and alone. This is rock bottom

@sincerePlane591

I wish I could hold your hands and just sit across from you right now. Things certainly seem like they have been piling up and I can't imagine how overwhelmed you must feel.

Self-sabotaging our good friendships and isolating ourselves gradually is all-too common, but to also endure the loss of a marriage while raising two children? I wish I could just surround you with all the peace and clarity you are seeking, but after seeing glimpses of what you're up against, I feel so strongly that you are so much greater than what is aiming to defeat you.

I will say- as a person, and not a listener- and without knowing specifics or further context, I feel inclined to share that my best friend drank alcohol pretty consistently while on medication and currently, she's in dire need of a new liver transplant and is waiting for a donor because of the adverse effects of mixing the two. I share this with you in hopes to give you an awareness that sheds light on a dim reality, in case this is relevant for you to know. When things feel hectic, it's hard to associate positive feelings with the future, but your kids truly need you to be here.

Thank you for showing up genuine and I hope to see you come around more. If you'd like to delve into this conversation more with me, you're welcome to PM me anytime. From one survivor to another, I wish you all the best.
