When my anxiety kicks in and also my parents yell at me and say terrible things, I don't know how to act. I'd just wish I could dissapear.. I always feel like everything's my fault and no matter what I do it's wrong.. there's no solution, no escape route.. it's the most terrible feeling, like suffocating

@zorac I also have times when I think I would wish that I will just disappear too. For one of my projects before, I was really frustrated and tired and angry and sad all at the same time. I really felt hopeless and I wish that I would not wake up or have an accident. I thought, in that way, all the bad things will end. The world will have one less crazy person. But then, I realized I was being too harsh on myself, blaming it all to me. The self is an easy target for hatred and criticism, espcecially when we don't know or we forgot how valuable we are. Please be kind to yourself, zorac.

@hopefulRainbows30 thanks for your reply. Yeah it's hard sometimes to not hate yourself, sometimes you just do.. but I'll try to be less hard on myself in the future. Thank you for your kind words ❤

Hey Zorac, welcome to 7 cups! Thanks for sharing your story with us. I can empathize with you about feeling anxious, and especially when things don't go right with the people around us. To me personally, it can sometimes feel like a personal attack on who I am. But, sometimes it might be helpful to think about why things might have gone the way they did. Maybe they are feeling some pressure from some other source, and took it out on you unintentionally, maybe you did something and they reacted in a counterproductive way, etc. I can't say what they might have thought, but I can provide you with a helpful link from the site :)! It's a self-help guide to anxiety, and who knows, you might find something in there that can be helpful. https://www.7cups.com/anxiety-help/

If you ever want to talk to a listener 1-1, feel free to message me :) I wish you the very best Zorac.
