Falling into anxiety again
Hi, everyone. Im new in the community and im not sure im doing things right, but I need to talk with someone.
I just had a very bad panic attack. I felt like I was gonna go completely insane and I ended up throwing up. I still feel like im about to lose it all over again at any moment.
I already went through this almost 4 years ago, when anxiety and depression almost ate me away. I got better for some time, but these days - maybe because I have the flu and my body feels like a mess - I feel like im goimg back to the way I was and that scares me to death. I can't do this to my mom again, she has only me mow, but I don't know what to do.
Monigil - I see your honesty and fear at the same time in your post. Really, none of us know if we are doing it all "right". We struggle with different issues, but we are here to be together in love and support. I'm sorry you went through a dreadful panic attack. My daughter suffers also, and it can come on with no warning and without any stress beforehand , which makes it hard to be so unpredictable. But you know,if you are physically sick , it can make the whole episode a lot worse.
You say you don't want to put your Mom through it again, and as a mother and a daughter I understand both points of view. You have to first take care of yourself. There are a lot of resources here, calming exercises, and sub groups for panic disorders that may help you connect with people who do understand. Can you keep distance between you and your Mom until you are better - is that an option? If not, you just have to explain to her the best you can. I am sending warm wishes for you to get better soon, and a virtual hug and cup o f hot tea or cocoa, which ever you prefer.
@monigil I am so sorry. I know how that feels. Your terrified of back sliding....but you will be okay. I was almost destroyed 3 years ago with bad bout...but God brought me through. It's up and down, but you will be okay!! Honest! BREATH......we are here for you. I'm still getting hang of how to reply and how to FIND my replies, so I hope you see this. Teacup
