So I'm a teen, and my friend thinks I have anxiety. He directed me to multiple apps and tests on anxiety and I've scored fairly high on them all (including the one on this app) Im not sure if my parents know I might have anxiety, and I don't really feel comfortable telling them... I'm not sure what to do..

@Lizthebagel Before my parents discover about my mental illness, i used feel guilty and ashamed of myself and my own feelings. I used feel afraid of what they could do or say... or think. Since always I worry too much, i overthing every tiny thing possible. And I waited far much, and it only delayed my treatment, and make the symptoms get worse with time. I also suffer of anxiety, and depression. And the most important advice I can give you is, say to your parents... Or you mommy or daddy... if you feel ashamed, try start showing some articles about anxiety to them, and when they get to understand what is and how this illness makes ppl feel, say to them that you feel alike, and would like have some help. This kind of problem always appear at teenager years to beginning of adult life. And without treatment it can make your life harder than it was supposed to be. Please say to your parents, don't need say it fast, try prepare them if u feel weird about tell them about it... But don't hold it only to yourself, it will only bring you more suffeing on future. (it happened with me... i wish everyday in my life have had the opportunity to give this advice to my old self, don't hold my emotional problems to myself, one day they can get far bigger, and can eat u alive)
