Fear
I've been three weeks on bed rest due to a foot injury, I can't stand on it and I don't know how long will it take to heal, I'm desperate, I feel full of fear for the pain thinking what if it never goes away? On top of that I had my vacations planned in ten days, everything has been paid of without possibility of a refund and since I was going with other family members, the dates cannot be changed, only a miracle recovery could save me of not spoling my trip.
I feel weak, I feel really bad and sick of just waiting for my body to respond and let me continue with my life! Anxiety is really bad but medication is not an option due to terrible side effects, I just don't know how to cope while I'm in this situation.

Hello there,
Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about your foot, I do hope your not in too much pain. I can totally relate to the frustration of being bed ridden, and even the thought of your body letting you down, I was too in a huge rush for my body to repair, but unfortunately, our bodies repair in their own time, they need time to heal and get back to full strength after any injury or illness, still, it's a shame you may be missing out on a family holiday, I expect this is making you feel worse, however, rest is important hun, your health is way to important to rush these things along and although it's completely frustrating, I'm sure their will be more holidays in the future once your back to yourself. Ten days is a long way off, you may even make a good enough recovery to enjoy your vacation, until then, rest all you can to improve your chances!
Have the doctors given you any indication how long you will be laid up for? Do you have people to keep your company whilst your not very mobile? You always have this community to support you, there are plenty of guys here who love talking, keeping your company and occupying your time!
I wish you well, all the best.

I'm very sad to hear that you're suffering from this kind of situation that you can't really do anything about. I feel like it feels like it's uncontrollable, and like you're just waiting for the to pass and because you can't really move all you really can do is to think, or wander... I feel like that's a hard thing to go through because it feels like the situation only manifests more anxiety. Not being able to go on the trip is very sad too, having to face not going to going with the broken leg when you thought you were going to have lots of fun... I hope the doctors and nurses were nice to you at least and reassured you empathetically when you asked them if the pain would go away someday.
