Feeling Like a Failure

I recently got a question on 7Cups about 2 things that I did well lately, but I couldn't think of anything. I don't know if I actually haven't done anything useful or if I'm setting the bar too high, but I want to know what I should do with this.

Thinking of something positive when you're feeling unwell is hard. Perhaps you are too hard on your self. Positive things can also be very small things.

I am myself keeping a list where I write down something positive that happened to me every day. That can range from having a good cup of tea to a season of a show I like coming to Netflix.

Please don't be harsh with yourself. It's sometimes hard to recognise the good things, but I am sure that objectively they are there. Recognising even small things you did well is a step forward.

I struggled to answer that question too. Getting out of bed and going to work was all I came up with for that day. Some days it's showering. I understand having a hard time finding positive in your life when you feel bad.

That's been a major struggle with me. I have really bad self esteem so even if I do accomplish something it feels wrong to celebrate it or sometimes even acknowledge it.

God forbid I don't succeed in something either or thugs just stagnate too. That's when I start slowly falling apart.

Hoping you get through this rut and find something to celebrate, even if it's small.
