So i have been diagnosed with a stomach problem 2 years ago called hitius hernia which causes acid reflux and makes me feel sick a lot of the day and i cant do anything to control it i just have to wait for it to pass. and more or less i think that because of it, it has caused me to have anxiety as i never ever had this feeling before my stomach problem. Whenever i ever make plans to meet with a girl (im a boy) i feel ok at the time, but on the day i have to meet them i feel really off, i feel like something bad is going to happen and i feel uncontrollably sick to the point where i have met girls before and been sick because i cant control how i feel and i dont know how to control it. Another time when i really felt sick was when i went on holiday for a week by myself and for the first 3 days i didnt eat and i was sick every day, on the 4th day it started to settle ad i got use to my environment, but i use to go about life not worrying and i feel like my stomach has changed everythingand i dont know if its purely just my stomach problem or it has escalated to anxiety, if anyone else has these problems or even hitius hernia please contact me as i dont think this is normal and im confused on what to do, for the last 2 years my life has been hell, im not in control of anything

@NoIntrests I'm sorry that you have been dealing with this. I don't have hiatal hernia nor have I heard of it before reading your post. It sounds very frustrating to have a condition that can effect you at any time. I think anxiety can stem from a lot of different things in our life like our health problems. For that reason, it isn't a crazy thought to think that the symptoms of your condition are connected to a newfound sense of anxiety.

Again I have never had hiatal hernia nor have I heard of it before but I did some reading after I read your post. It seems that this condition shouldn't be so impactful of your day to day life unless its a serious case. There is medication that can be taken for those serious cases. Have you spoken to a doctor in regards of treatment options? It seems that you are more than qualified to recieve additional help in dealing with this.
