Feeling stuck and alone.

I'm in college right now, working on getting an associate's degree and then moving on to a specialty school in a field that I love.
Despite working my ass off with classes, don't feel like I'm moving forwards, in fact, I feel like I'm going backward.
I've lost a lot recently, and I think it's really affecting me. I lost my aunt at the beginning of this year, my grandma last November, and my beloved dog just this last July. And to top it all off, I split up with my partner just last month (we are still friends and it was a mutual split, but it's still hard).
I constantly feel like I can't see past the next few days. I don't see a future for myself, and that's terrifying. People say "Just live life one day at a time!" but that's really not the solution when right now is the worst part.
I don't have anyone I can vent to, and I don't know what to do. I'm losing interest in everything I used to love, and it all just feels totally stagnant with nowhere to go from here.

Sometimes we can't live one day at a time. Sometimes that's too much. Sometimes we need to break it down into hours, or minutes. It sounds nuts, but when things are so overwhelming, we just need to find some little piece of control. A thing we can hang onto that we totally control because everyone else, everything else, is making havoc of our lives.

What simple, small thing can you take hold of today? Is it going for a short walk somewhere? It is treating yourself to a coffee out somewhere? Is it playing a game on your phone uninterrupted? Something you choose to do, something no one else has a part of. Something you control the stop and start of.
