Fighting anxiety and toxic thoughts

I’ve been incredibly anxious for the past few months about my relationships with my friends, especially with my closest friend. I’ve been terrified that my closest friend doesn’t like me anymore. I’m fairly young, a late bloomer, and have never had a friend this close before. I’m terrified I’m turning them away. But at the same time I’m angry that they haven’t spoken as much to me. I know logically they’re busy with stuff, but I am fighting my own toxic suspicion that they are ignoring me. I don’t know why I am angry and have such toxic thoughts, and I want them to go away.

Hello there! It’s not good to hear that you’ve been feeling anxious about your relationship with your friends, especially your closest friend lately! It sounds like you’re not sure if your friend likes you anymore. I hear you, I m sorry to hear that you feel like you’re turning them away as this is your first close friend! I understand why them not being able to talk to you much is making you feel agitated and frustrated. I’m glad that you know why they’re not responding to you, but I totally get why you’d still be a bit anxious about it. Have you considered speaking to them about it? It’s been quite a while since you’ve posted this, may I ask, how have you been doing lately? Were you able to sort out the anxiety and keep your relationship strong? I hope it has resolved for you. Thank you so much for sharing! We’re all here for you. Keep taking small steps! *hugs if comfortable*
