Guilty or not
So well, 2 years back, there was this guy who liked me. I was not in a proper frame of mind to want a relationship and I clearly told him that too .But, he took it pretty hard and told his parents and friends . They thought "I deceived him".To top it all, he stopped speaking from his side completely for like a year . Now recently, when we started speaking, he was still interested in me. I had accepted it this time. But then, his mom had called me up saying that back then, I had deceived him and what I had done was not right. I don't get it. How was rejecting him "deceiving him "?I still have this question every day as I try my best to live my life doing good to people . Would not dream to hurt someone that way. Idk whether rejecting him was a bad idea. Had I not rejected him, his parents wouldn't have had such a bad impression of me .I really hope one day he realised what happened to me was wrong .

Hello,
To introspect is nice but not to live in the past and keep blaming yourself.
If anything you were honest with him and neither rejected or hurt him. How he took it is his perception.
If I were you I would clear the air with his parents on how it actually happened.
Wish you all the happiness and love you deserve.
Cheers.
